Earlier in the day, everyone attended the Quinceanera Mass (which I'm sure was interesting. I have met the local priest, he is a redheaded Irishman and does mass in Irish accented Spanish) at the Catholic Church and then went to Tarleton's Student Center reception room for the party!
Look at Kendall! She was really vamping it up! I went to watch the dance numbers and take pictures. It was as elaborate as any wedding reception I have ever seen. I thought Sylvia looked like a bride! Her cousin is the guy in the white tux. He was her excort!
All of the couples were introduced and presented to the guests. Anyway I think, it was all in spanish!
This is Kendall and her best friends, Holliday on the left and Chawtana on the right!
This was the cake and Quinceanera doll (which I don't understand. Why the doll? I will have to ask.) They had balloons and flowers everywhere, a fajita buffet and a live, LOUD Tejano band! It was awesome! I would have stayed longer and kept on dancing in the corner but I was getting looks! Besides, I can't keep up with the Hispanic women! They dress for the occasion! And anything is an "Occasion", grocery shopping or quinceanera it is all the same, short dresses and really high heels and full on hair and makeup. Age and shape do not matter! I can't pull that off!
When I left everyone was dancing (tejano dancing is really just two-stepping in a circle with or without a partner) including the band! I left thinking I really need to learn Spanish!

Kendall looks beautiful! Love the modesty too. What a good example. I bet it wasn't easy to do. I have been to a Quinceanera before. And yes they are just like a wedding.
